Windows will warn you. Here is how to get past it.

The installer is not code-signed yet, so Microsoft Defender SmartScreen stops it the first time you run it. That is expected, and it is not a sign that anything is wrong with the file. Two clicks get you through.

  1. 1 Open the file from your browser’s downloads.
  2. 2 Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info.
  3. 3 Click Run anyway, then follow the setup wizard.

The recording was made on a French copy of Windows. The dialog is identical in English — “Windows protected your PC”, then More info, then Run anyway.
